ABOUT THE POSITION: XIF is seeking a well-rounded, senior-level Software Engineer with deep expertise and real-world experience building advanced Rich Internet Applications using Flash/Actionscript/Flex (experience with both Actionscript 2 and 3 is desired). We are NOT looking for a timeline Flash animator or interactive designer. We want a true engineer capable of building web-based software applications using Actionscript. Required Skill Set: # 3+ years of experience in Internet Development # 5+ years of experience in Software Development # Advanced knowledge of Flash/Actionscript (and supporting technologies, e.g. Flash Media Server, Flex, Flash Lite, etc.) # Experience with XML/XSL # Experience with Flash Video (FLV) # Understanding of human interaction and the importance of user interface/graphic design # Thorough attention to detail # Exceptional communication skills # Self-Management skills # Strong work ethic and a good character Additional Desired Skills: # A degree in Computer Science # Product development expertise # Experience with Java/J2EE/JSP, PHP, and other web/backend programming # Experience with presence, voip, and messaging protocols such as XMPP, SIP, IMAP # Experience in developing for multiple devices, application types, and browsers # Experience with AJAX Development # Experience writing technical documentation (design, requirements, database modeling) # Experience with design and implementation of different relational database systems # Experience with Video Editing/Production Please submit your resume and a cover letter to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Work examples, code samples, and references will be required, so if you have URLs you can show, please send them in the cover letter (we'll get code samples and references later).
