Take a look back through the message archives. The problem is that the HierarchicalData class doesn't do anything with the events broadcast by the underlying ArrayCollection. I posted a class to fix the problem, so take a search for it.

For example, if I have a DataGrid with an ArrayCollection as dataProvider, and I make it editable, then when it is edited I can fire an Event with CollectionChange because the arrayCollection is in fact changing. That doesn't happen with the GroupingCollection, any ideas? Thanx in advance.
