Yeah. this is an issue partially related to creation and the fact that
column width - well that's another story. Here is a quick fix. add the
listener to each of your grids and copy/paste the function.

 

grid.addEventListener( Event.RENDER, handleDataGridRenderEvent );

 

private function handleDataGridRenderEvent( event:Event ):void

{

  var dg:DataGrid = DataGrid( event.target );

 

  dg.columns[0].width = 100;

  dg.columns[0].minWidth = 100;

  dg.columns[1].width = dg.width - 100 - 100;


  dg.columns[2].width = 100;


}

 

There is an initial blink - as the data grid gets its first render event and
sets the columns. Hmm. its 4:05 a.m. - and I'm thinking that this probably
isn't the best way to do this. Let me get some sleepy and I'll look at this
again.
