Re: [flexcoders] Starting a Project Now! FLEX 1.5 or 2.0?
Hello people, Thanks for all the input on this topic. I am fine with the Flash Player 8.5 issue as I will be controlling access to this first project and can supply the users with the correct player. The second project will not launch until the end of the year at best. Now as far as the High cost of FLEX. We are already a member of the enterprise solutions and the development program with Adobe and We have already made the choice to partner with Adobe on various other software, So I do not think we should have a problem with FES. Although I would like to see a bundle created with FES, Media Server2, ColdFusion, and Breeze. Re: [flexcoders] Flexbuilder 2 memory usage :o
The System memory requirements for FLEX 2.0 Beta1 is 1GB I am hoping that is just for the beta and when we get the final product it will be more RAM friendly. I am sure this is the case - just as with every beta they are able to reduce the size of the SWF that are being compiled. [flexcoders] Starting a Project Now! FLEX 1.5 or 2.0?
Hello, I am starting a project that I would like to finish this summer. This is a prototype project, when finished will morph into a bigger project. Would you start in FLEX 1.5 and port it over to 2.0 when it is released or would you use FLEX 2.0 and work through the work arounds and wait for features to mature? Any thoughts or insight?
