[flexcoders] Loading mask or overlay for datagrids while loading

I've been wondering how to show a nice loading animation while a datagrid or other component is loading and fading it out when it's done loading. I've been looking everywhere for a nice solution but I haven't found a decent one so far. Is there an easy way? By using a mask or something?

[flexcoders] Soap fault with empty results

I updated flex 2.0.1 with hotfix 3 and now we are experiencing the soap function we call returns an empty collection. Does anyone have the same problem or can anyone post a solution? I've tried making the collection nillable but it had no effect.
