[flexcoders] How to find that in which font type the text is written

Hi all,

I want to find the number of pixels that one character of my text takes 
in flex. I think for that i have to find the font type and size of my 
text and then i have to find that how many pixels that particular type 
of character takes.

If anybody knows about it. Please let me know.

[flexcoders] setting width of datagrid column using a variable.

hi all
I want to set the width of a column of a datagrid,value of the width is 
stored in a variable. In DataGridColumn tag if i set 
width=variableName, then a error occurs which says can't parse 
variableName. If i set width without quotes eg. width=variableName then 
a error occurs which says Open quote is expected for attribute width

please help me out to solve this issue.
