(no real "request"...just a "wouldn't it be nice"; explain if I'm missing something though)

Wouldn't it be nice to add an event listener for onMetaData? This is so we don't have to do the following (per LiveDocs):

Creating a subclass isn't a prob but it sure would be nice to use an event listener. :-)
