Ah crap. To add on to this, this seems to be a bug that was only fixed with
the Flash 10 player: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK

- I have to target Flash 9. Is this really still an outstanding bug
with Flex 3 and Flash 9? That really bites.
