[flexcoders] Server Identity for FDS 2 in ColdFusion admin
Hi there, Im running CFMX7 in multiserver install and the updater now has new options for FDS support like server Identity so we can have multiple instances running FDS support (beta 3 only allowed 1 instance). It's
the identity/sub node of the properties/ node of a
destination. Check the data-management-config.xml file inside your
fds2/resources/config folder, at the very bottom there are three examples how to
configure a CF destination and the first one ("cfcontact") lists this option,
e.g.

This is the ID of the
ColdFusion Data Management server as
configuredin the ColdFusion
Administrator.Only needed if you have more
than one instance of CF on a
machine.identitydefault/identity

Thanks Dirk, BTW, is there a easy way to work with FDS and cf flash remoting in the same app? FDS seems that is only shipped with the Java remote Object Adapter but it doesnt make much sense for some basic operations to use FDS or does it? João Fernandes Dep.
