Larry,
I bet your echo will disappear once you install the Delta 44 card. I had
experienced the same thing with my Santa Cruz card. I was able to almost
eliminate it by reverting back to an earlier version of ASIO4ALL; if I
used the most recent version, I had the 'echo'. It was just as you sai
After posting my concerns this morning about my apparent RFI problems I

the AF gain and the MIC gain controls. He informed me that due to some

I have a different CW sound problem, persisting over several releases.
Not too likely to be a hardware problem.
Goes like this: Usually, five to ten minutes after the rig warms up, I
get a kind of "duplicated" signal.
Sort of like a multi-path or some other kind of echo. That is, I get

Russell - I had the same problem of the receiver going "click" and then
shutting off. I replaced the parallel port cable with the FlexRadio USB to
parallel cable and that was the end of the problem.

Greetings All,
I have had my SDR-1000 now for approximately 3 month and find the receiver
very pleasurable to use. New additions are being made to the software for
the radio adding to it's functionality.

Bill,
that sounds nice. If your solution could be programmed the Delta44's
capabilities would be fully exploited.

Eric,
thanks for the reply. I want to keep my mic at Port INS #3 without
use of second soundcard. So I need to find a way to route INS #4
into the system.

Yes. We are about to release new DSP that will allow you to set buffer
sizes,
sample rates, etc.

The M-Audio Delta 44 supports 96KHz sampling and we have already
committed to supporting that. 192KHz is still up in the air from where
I stand. There are some limitations in the current hardware that would
keep you from being able to view anywhere near the full 192KHz on a
wider panadapter.
Russell,
You likely hit the nail on the head. Your description is indicitive of
a parallel connection that is just barely good enough to tune most of
the time, but occasionally misses a few bits and thus wreaks havoc on
the hardware on the other end. You will likely find with your breakout
Hi!
Are there any plane to support 192 khz soundcard and a faster
sampling-rate than now. This could give the option to view more of the

plane to include this? Has somone tried other 192khz card?

William,
I have heard this kind of thing here. The sound becomes garbled and/or
watery. I have yet to figure out what causes it, but it only seems to
happen on certain sound cards (specifically the Santa Cruz and the
Audigy 2 ZS). Good news is that if the problem is in the existing keyer

I would need to know what the error message is to be able to comment on
what is causing it. The software does indeed work without the software
plugged in.

I don't think that there is at this point. However, you could simply
not setup the tuning step change events in the Powermate software and
set it to 100Hz using the mouse and/or keyboard (ctrl + arrow keys).

Not totally OT, I looked some at SpectraVue a few months ago.
There are some neat waterfall centric UI tuning/presentation
concepts in it that I really like. If I recall correctly it
too uses I/Q inputs, so as an experiment you can feed the
audio from the SDR-1000 HW into this program. I have alre

I know very well Spectravue it work on IQ wave files or with his hardware

It has a very nice waterfall display show all the IF spectrum, not only the
band pass filter like PowerSDR.
This display is better and more intuitive than usual panoramic display.

Hi All
I had a thought reguarding the RF issues a couple of guys have exeriencing,
and another reguarding audio circuitry using differential input and output
amplifiers ie the Delta 44 (or equivalent) soundcards, and they both envolve
the audio cables connecting the radio to the soundcard.

Here is a link to an interesting audio spectrum display program.
Just F.Y.I. it is not directly applicable to the SDR-1000.

Hi All,
I am using the Delta44 - works great in RX/TX. Very low latency. No preamp for

Hi Dale,
I've has some thoughts on using a slider for IF shift. The problem with a
slider is it will either need to have very rough control if it is to cover
the hole +/- 10 khz panadapter range, or it will have finer control, but
only be able to cover some of the panadpater range to have fi
