Hi Ken,
I am basing the fact that it is possible to drive the SDR-1000 hardware
from Linux on this post from Bob McGwier back in January.
"The Mini-ITX, running SUSE 9.3 carries Don Imus 660 AM every morning using
SDR-1000 number 2 running jsdr, jack."
I am trying to use the code in the pyhw2
about two days ago. Possibly I did not notice it
before, but think it started then.

A few weeks ago there was some communications regarding what the best
speakers for the SDR-1000. Does any one have any suggestions for a speaker
set that will be happy with a 1000 amplifier in the shack?
At Dayton I tried the new PR-30 Heil mike. It really had a wonderful sound
in my opinion
I am trying to operate my SDR-1000 from Ubuntu Linux with the command line
interface.
Could some one tell me the commands listening to an AM radio station?
Also do I need to use both the cmdr shell script and the pyhw2 python script?
Thanks,

Hello Peter,
What software and/or hardware do you use to measure soundcards?
Thanks,

Hi Roger,
I think there are dozens of guys who will help you if they can
understand what you are asking for. When you say "I/Q signals sent
by the Firebox" do you mean on transmit? or receive? and with what
software on what platform?

This would be an enhancement in MixW, rather than in the SDR-1000
software, wouldn't it?
sending them?
I am running a 1 GHz Pentium III. Does this problem go away with a faster
processor?

I'm not sure what setting you are talking about. The Delta 44 DMA Buffer
size effectively sets the latency for the device. I'd recommend starting
with 512 and moving down as far as your machine can handle it.

What milliseconds should the delta 44 latency be set for?

Has anyone been able to mount the internals from a stock LDG Z-100 antenna
tuner in the SDR-1000 box and have it work properly?

Tim,
yes! I am seeing the same thing here. I have been fooling around this
weekend in WPX CW running in 96 khz mode and dealing with the big
descending noise spike on Tx to Rx (my Firebox is unmodified for 96 k
op). The transmit pop you've identified is definitely there when running
96 but not

All,
Anybody know of an DSP group or forum where a beginner could ask how-to
questions about FFT technique?

Ok, so I changed the svn address to trunk/Source and it downloaded fine.
NOW, after I compile in release mode I cant seem to find where visual 2003
is putting the BIN folder.

Tim,
Thanks for trying to verify my findings. I am going to make a recording
with fan off and on and send it to Flex-Radio´s trouble shooters for
evaluation.
