I "feel your pain," Army. I am almost there, myself. In my case, I WAS
able to achieve audio to the TX on "plan one" of the 4-pin connector
diagrams in the manual, but I had no PTT. (I had to use the computer
screen's transmit button... to get to TX mode.)
Then, I went to "plan two" of

I fully concur with the observation that the primary users of
the A to D's that we use now have little reason to shoot

I will not bore this group with detailed thermal or quantum mechanical
calculation. ;-). Suffice it to say we are reaching the limit on what
A/D's can deliver and the sentiments expressed here are not achievable
with current technology and in the near future. Akashi has made great

This is what I suggested. I hit reply instead of reply all. I must be
forgiven however i f my answer solved the problem :-)
I was busy eyeballing the UBC kit I got in the mail today from Philip.

I may have misunderstood the question, but I think the answer is still
pretty much the same. If you were talking about transmit image rejection,
you would still want to optimize it for whatever signal you will be putting
into it most often.

Just for completeness, what was the solution to your problem? I didn't see
any replies on the reflector.
I was also under the impression that the Delta-44 control panel comes along
with the driver installation - I don't remember getting a CD with mine.
In any event, it seems like good practice
I think the mixer installs with the driver. I don't think I've ever loaded
the driver from the CD. I always check the website for the latest.

I would use a tone closest to whatever you are going to be receiving. If
you are going to be receiving narrow signals like CW, I would use the CW
Pitch tone so that you will have the optimal null right on the spot where
you will be listening. For pretty much any other mode, pick a frequency in

Just wondering what frequency tone to use for setting good overall
suppression. In the old days most phasing exciters used a 1000 or 1200
cycle tone. Is that a good idea with the sdr too? W8XO

Good day;
I have Flexradio SN 0537-9035, with the 4-pin connector. I need to
wire a standard dynamic hand mic to this radio.
I have printed out the manual, but it only shows two 4-pin diagrams.
I have tried both; The last one (oldest model, ship date of "Before Feb

Hello,
I just bought a second hand Delta 44 for my SDR 1000. The problem is
that the CD is missing, so I downloaded the drivers and manual from the
M-Audio site, but still I need the utility for controlling the card and
the mixer.
Could somebody tell me if is there any place for downloading the
