Is it possible to use the Edirol FA-66 soundcard with
the Windows 2000 operating system? Will the Windows
XP drivers work with Windows 2000?

Ok, what I did was make up a zip file to show better than what I can
explain.

PowerSDR, Commander, and the upper right corner of WW all agree that the
frequency is 14.087.82.
Both xmit and receive. as I do NOT have split enabled in either Commander or
PowerSDR.

Do you use a low impedance or high impedance microphone?

For what it's worth, I use a Heil PR-40 with my SDR-1000 (with Delta 44
soundcard). The mic connects directly to the SDR mic input (no external
preamp needed), and I set the console's Mic Gain to 50, plus I add some mid
and high frequency boost with the equalizer. That's all there is to it for

Alan,
I am using a Heil ProSet Plus with my SDR-1000. The Yaesu adapter cable
from Heil almost works with no modifications. The SDR keeps the Mic ground
& the PTT ground separate but the Heil adapter cable that I have only
connects one of the 2 grounds. I jumper the 2 grounds together in the
We recommend any of the Pro series microphones offered by Heil. You will
need a XLR to TRS [1/4 inch Stereo plug] cable-available at Radio Shack or
just about any ProAudio store. You then can use the Balanced input on the
rear of the 5000. We use the PR-40 mic in our labs.

I see that Flex offers a Heil hand-held mike to suit the FLEX-5000, but
I don't want a hand-held: I'd rather have a boom mike or a headset mike.
So which other Heil models would be suitable for the FLEX-5000? Which
mic. element and which adapter cable?
Or which other makes and models altogether

Hello Fellow Flexers,
Anyone have a M0ZAZ "Poor Man's Interface" that they'd like to sell?

That is how I first noticed it. It crawls in and out of the passband. For
the most part I can remove it by clicking on the Spur Reduction button. It
is only a minor nuisance when the radio is cold. It is rare to see it when
the radio has warmed up.
I think it is important that we discuss these
Isn't it local to the radio? That is, isn't the current design causing the
problem?

The range of the controls (inside) have been changed, especially in the
Block LMS case, in order to provide finer grained control and increase
stability. In the setup->dsp LMS block, if block LMS is checked,
INCREASE THE GAIN until you are happier.
Yet, you may not get to the happy state right
To whomever drew the FLEX-5000 block diagram,
*THANK YOU* - very nicely done and great fun to
