Thank God ...I thought I was the only one that thought Comp/Compndr was
way lacking! (as well as the ANF).

I am up and trotting with new machine (amd64x2 4600) and was getting audio
dropouts.
FYI
The culprit turns out to be the hardware monitor for the chip/board temp -
easytune ver et5. The guilty process is gui.exe. This comes with
gigabyte boards.

It may be as you intend it, but I suggest it (a) is counterintuitive,
(b) is contrary to years of established practice for email lists
I guess Yaesu was one of the pioneers of RF speech processing way back in
the early 70's with the Ft-101 series of transceivers. The way that these
RF Processors work is they convert the audio from the mic input to RF with a
SSB generator. They use clipping at the RF level and filter the

It is instructive to just play with it outside of the SDR. It includes
a build in recorder loop that lets you listen to the result as you
adjust the setting ( both with and without QRN QRM ).
With the SDR, you can select the Vshaper

I've experience a little rfi.
I do not get these problems with my ft1000mp running 1000 watts out of a
vl1000 amp.
So, I'm pretty sure it's the sdr.
Locks the keyboard
can but not always, lock PowerSDR.
shuts down one of the USB cameras.
Fine as long as I stay below 400 watts output.

Your problem is going to be unique to your setup, so someone else's
silver bullet may not help you. You have to use a systematic approach
to soling the problem.
My best guess is you probably have a high impedance ground loop.

I would like to jump in and ask about real-world measurements. From
what I hear on the air, most guys rely on the *totally subjective*
