Tim, I have 1.8.0 and SVN 1186, 1246 that work OK.
Beginning with SVNs 1315, I have the problem. 1315 doesn't work at all.
1323, and 1355 are bad.

It's like, there are two paths to the cw generator.
Part of the problem is...in my system.
CWX requires the key option of Iambic to be disabled

The option of Iambic must be enabled (or use it as a straight key)
So my question is:
Shouldn't the software be smart enough to know that a CWX buffer or keypad
was being used?
John,
Thanks - you saved me a bug report. I saw this problem again last night and
thought I ought to report it...
My experience is with trying to use CWType on a virtual com port (assigned to
the secondary keyer) and using
a real key connected to COM1 as the primary keyer. As soon as I

Not sure what is going on with your system.

That is definitely the case with the SDR-1000 as the RX signal rolls off

specifications do not go that high though.

I should add that this is no problem with either radio with a transverter or
some sort of undersampling with the proper filtering.

It may be confusing as we have done it, but w9ol's problem is not caused
by the equalizer.
The equalizer is left enabled on the form but in the CW, DIGL, DIGU, and
DRM, it is simply not applied on TX or RX. This is easily seen in the
code by looking at sdr.c and the routine do_tx_pre. In
This is some bug that has been introduced when adding the Flex5000

freezes and the audio out is a rasping multi-frequency tone.

Did you re-calibrate the radio for the apparent change in readings?
When I change the software, I get out the calibrator and check to
make sure something hasn't changed.

Similar thing happens with the 1.91 Beta version I downloaded from

band B, then back to band A and the power level has changed markedly.
Then if I change the slider position but immediately return it to the

Ian,
You are correct that the voltages seen by the soundcard did not change. But
Cecil is correct. There is a software compensation in order to calibrate
the receive levels. If that parameter is different in the database for each
version, then you'll see that difference show up on the display.

Is there a way to find out where one is in the queue for shipping?
