I've foregone SSB operation on the SDR 1000. I had too much trouble interfacing the microphone and the XYL doesn't like SSB operation much anyway. But, I'm thinking about reviving SSB with the Flex5000. It does appear that a wider range of microphone impedances will work. I can't even find the
