I experienced Kirb's description of the symptoms with SVN 1680 on an
SDR-1000. It definitely threw the level calibration off.

Thank you Bob.
I was in the appearance Tab.
I guess it was staring me right in the face!

I connect my headset directly to the break-out box with simple adaptors. This
was too simple to pass up.

Is there a QSK (TX?) delay setting in the '5000 or is this in the 3rd party
software?
Thanks, Mike K4EAR

Hi
The PowerSDR software on my windows xp system only runs with administrator
rights. Is there a workaround to to run it with restricted rights? There are
problems with the database (access). Excuse me, if this has been treated

Hi Joel,
I undoubtedly started the thread to which you refer. It has drifted to
far from the original topic.
My basic finding is VFOA frequency control works from N1MM, but not much
else in the way of rig control.
I also found an article in the knowledge base:
http://kb.flex-radio.com/article.
This would be an upgrade for the 5000A ?
If so, I'm would be interested

Hi all,
A while back, I experienced an unanticipated change in transmit

MHz, I settled into a bit of a rag chew with him. All of a sudden, he
was no longer hearing me, despite every indication on this end that I

I don't think we saw any performance benefit of using the COM port with the

However, re: all USB-Serial adapters, I have noticed that most of them

If the adapter works in one port and not another, it is probably just a
driver issue. Using the device manager, if you select the device and then
right click and do update driver, I believe you can force the update using
the binaries in c:\Program Files\FlexRadio Systems\USBIO.

I've been using the Pro-Set Plus here, and it works very well. I built a
simple adapter cable with an 8-pin mic connector on one end that plugs
into the FLEX-5000A microphone connector on the front panel, and the
other end of the cable has an inline 1/8" monaural phone jack to accept

Richard,
I could be wrong on this, but my understanding is that the Proset (IC) is
specifically designed to work with Icom radios, and as such uses an electret
type mike cartridge that requires a small (8v) DC voltage to operate. In
checking the heil website, there is a note that the Flex radios w
