Has been waiting since the beginning of August for a version of PSDR
supporting XVTR-operation on my FLEX-1500. Installation on my Acer Veritron
dual core 2,3G Pentium, 2 GB RAM with WIN-XP Proff SP3 was easy without any
problems. XVTR-setup is functional so Im now QRV 23cm10m, 13cm2m10m,

left SAGE in 1964 after being an IBM FE at Phoenix and Fort Lee. I would think
a SAGE system with 55,000 vacuum tubes could handle Flex ! HI !

Dear FLEX-1500 customers,
While the vast majority of FLEX-1500 owners have had no problem installing
PowerSDR(TM) v2.0.16, a small number have not been able to get the release
running properly when upgrading from Beta v2.0.8 or earlier versions. They
symptom is a flat line Panadaptor display
I can't seem to access the Knowledge Base, would someone please tell me
where (or send me) the instructions for moving back to PSDR 1.18.5. I cannot
get V2.0.16 Beta to send recognizable CW either with the internal keyer or
an external one. It won't even send a string of 6 dits in a recognizable
I tried the patch, but unfortunately the 1500 panadaptor is still flat line.

I could not find your e-mail address; hope you see this.
As soon as Flex (wisely) stopped providing SVN access I requested and
received the complete source for 2.0.6 and successfuly built it.
There were a few minor problems but it came up after they were fixed.
All I wanted to
Clay,
You should contact technical support for assistance on this problem. It
sounds like some kind of hardware conflict.

Gerald, Clay,
I just got back from Staples with a $34.99 USB 2.0 PCI HBA. With it
installed, 2.0.16 is now appears to be working properly.
While it is frustrating to have to buy more hardware to run with the
upgraded software, I'm happy to have it working.
As a note, the motherboard is an
David,
This information is very useful to our engineering team. We are seeing some
chipset issues that we are trying to correlate. In other cases, a PCI
Express USB card has fixed the problem as well. This is a very high
performance driver, especially with small buffer sizes.
We are working
You can download PowerSDR 1.18.6 and the v1.3.0.8 firmware for the FLEX-5000
from the table on the left side of the home page. Load the firmware and
then PowerSDR. We are currently working on improvements to CW.

FLEX-1500 customers,
We have found an issue with the Driver Patch Kit for 32-bit systems. If you
are running a 32-bit system, please do NOT run the Repair.bat file.
We are working on getting a replacement on the server ASAP, thanks for your
patience.

I also have this question and would like a manufacturers answer. Is it
required and if so what do they recommend?

When installing the repair patch on a 32 bit machine an error occurs related to
an attempt to process a 64 bit driver!
Now you tell me!
Jeez , guys can't you at least try the patch on a 32 bit system before
releasing it?

The new Driver Patch Kit 1500_DriverPatchKit_2.0.16c.zip is now available
on the download site. This fixes some of the 32 bit issues with the
previous version.
Gerald's original statements as well the instructions for the previous
version still apply to this new version.

I was in North Bay, ON. I was there from 79 till 82. About 300km
north of Toronto.
Not bad for a computer built in 1958.

I have been using my flex 1500 on ssb using 2.0.07 since I got it in August or
September. I have been using it on 75-80 meters primarily and as a spotting
receiver on other bands. I do not remember if I actually transmitted on 40
meters with the radio or not. Anyway, I digress, I just loaded

I connected my HP 8645 Sig gen directly into the Antenna I/P on my SDR 1000,
and tested it at 14.1 MHz and 50 microvolts with PSDR versions 1.18.6,

I was getting some QRN or QRM static sounds corresponding with the needle

My F-1500 was clean on one or two bands and very bad on the rest when I
received it. I took spectrum photos, sent them to Flex, and they
promptly replaced the radio for me under warranty.
The replacement radio, S/N 599 (great serial number, that :-) is clean
on all bands.

Did you re-run all the level and image calibrations on the SDR-1000 once you
got into the PowerSDR 2.0.x version?

Try backing off the drive level and see if it cleans up. I wonder if power
