Thanks Bob. I will add this to the next release.

Craig,This is similar to my setup, except Ant 2 goes to a 1kw amp, and out a
SteppIR vertical, and Ant 1 goes straight to a little helical dipole. They're
about 100 ft apart, or so. Many other Flex RX2 are also run in an amplified
environment. Gerald has written that the receivers are robust,
Looks like a square waveform but the top level appears like a shallow w
with three distinct peaks and two valleys
Reoccurs ever 130 KHz.
Most noticeable on the hex beam at 40 feet when pointed east.
10 meters -130 dBm against a noise floor of 0135 dBm
12 meters -125 dbm against a noise floor
I would suggest reviewing some of the typical AM gathering frequencies on
this chart:

Over the past year or so, in the U. S., there has been increased AM
activity between 3705 and 3720 KHz. Also, I would drop any references to
AM Windows. There are no AM Windows.

Thanks Pete. I will plug the top band entries
It could be a switching power supply of some sort, perhaps from a wall wart or
other appliance. These supplies produce recurring noise at multiples of their
switching frequency and are easy to identify due to this recurring nature. Mo
st I've seen repeat every 60 to 100KHz, although I did
Mark:
Over the past few months I have been logging and tracking power line noise,
which turns out to be a composite of power line noise PLUS a variety of
local noise sources...
I have seen some noise humps across the baseband (these come and go), also
have seen a few different wave forms
You probably don't operate that much. Listen on 1.885 3.885 and tell me
that the term AM window does not reply.

Thanks, Dan. I will make recording and pic and send to you off board. Just
noticed today, need to correlate observations more with weather as you
suggested

Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but it IS for the laptop I use to run
my FLEX-5000/FLEX-1500 when I am away from home
I need an 80GB (or larger) IDE 2.5 hard drive for my laptop. If anyone has
one available, please contact me off-list.

Dan,
I would love to see your recorded noise signatures if possible. Have you
posted them or could you send me examples of what you are seeing? If you would
like to discuss them, I will be happy to give you a call. I am always seeing
a variety of noises and would like to scan raw streams

Saw that there was an update, decided to go for it.
Now the VFO on the SDR jumps around on 80 meters every 0.5 seconds. Cant
get DDUtil to respond after it connects to SDR.
Did I miss something?
