Hi all I'm looking for a small and lightweight AC power supply to power my Flex-3000 radio when travelling. I'm thinking of a small switch mode supply but it will need to be very quiet from an RF noise perspective. Any recommendations for a power supply in this category? Thanks and 73

Brian, I have several Alinco DM-330MV supplies have never had any trouble with them. The oldest one developed noisy fan bearings after about 9 years of almost continuous operation, but that is the only hint of trouble I have had with any of them. I have never detected any RFI generated by

A more reliable method is to tack solder two wires to the back of the switch. The wires can be brought out along the side of the front panel without drilling any holes. You can attach a switch to these wires or simply twist them together when you want to power up the 5000 remotely. I have operated

At home I use an ALINCO DM-340MV big supply. For Field Day and other demonstrations I use a PowerWerx.com SPS-30DM very small switching supply. It has a digital voltmeter and ammeter and is adjustable from the front. Have not heard (or seen) any noise yet. Kent KQ4KK
