I just got a new Macbook Air. I installed Parallels 9 with Windows 8.1. I have
the Thunderbolt to Firewire dongle attached to the Granite Firewire cable. I'll
be getting a Flex 3000 soon and wondering if anyone has experience with
Parallels going through Thunderbolt to Flex since Parallels now
Have a as new, flex 3000,sn# 0610-0473,apx. 2 years old. The 3000 looks and
performs as 10/10. I want to go back to QRP, and so Iam looking for a flex 1500
in trade ,toward the 3000 and 800.00- value of the 3000=1350.00 and the
1500=550.00. The 3000, never around smoke, includes power
No experience here but I would really be interested in how it works. I run a
Mac Mini with Bootcamp but would prefer to use Windows in VM so I don’t have to
reboot to use the Mac.

I have tried it on several machines without Parallels detecting the
firewire device even though it says it does. I do not think we were using
Thunderbolt on those machines though so maybe this would be the charm.

Hi Matthew,
I use several different loops with my Flex-Radio 3000.
First is a 160 Meter - 558 Foot horizontal loop, feed with 450 ohm ladder
line and 4:1 Balun 6 foot into the shack. It tunes 160 through 6 meters with
the Flex-3000 tuner.
Second is a 80 Meter - 287 Foot vertical Delta loop feed
