I have Larry's OCXO and it is rock solid. I don't see more than 0.3 hz
change over days with my SDR referenced to 10 Mhz WWV.

I am having problems with HRD seeing my Delta 44 sound card. I get an error
message that says the program does not support the sound card. I am going
to assume it is due to the 96K rate that I have it set on. Can anyone
confirm this issue?

I agree with Tim. The quality of the speakers and headphones make a big
difference with the SDR-1000. Heil headphones work well, I just wish I
could find a higher quality set of headphones with a high quality mike.

When running PSK, I recommend using a device that looks at your output
signal so that you can be sure that your IMD is where you want it. Here is
the link to the PSK meter that I have been using for a number of years and
it just works perfect. It does require another serial port, but as you will
Ken, I agree with you completely. The XG-1 is just a necessary item if you
own a SDR-1000. Also you must have a dummy load that will handle 100 watts.
Those two devices make it easy to keep your SDR in top shape on both receive
and transmit.

Has anyone seen a divide by 10 converter that could be placed on the front
of the SDR-1000 to allow it to receive from say 50 to 450 MHz? The spectrum
analyzer feature of the SDR would be very useful to have to evaluate your
VHF/UHF equipment. Thanks for any idea from the Flex Radio community.

Another question regarding the use of VAC with the SDR. Has anyone used VAC

I have found that with slower computers
the buffer size is one cause of the echo. Try changing the size, and I think
you will find that the echo will go away.

It has been my experience with a slower computer that the buffer size will
effect the transmit echo. Try lowering it and see what reports you get, I
needed to use the lowest setting.
