Thanks, Eric, but I've tried it all without any luck,

Subject: RE: [Flexradio] Mouse Wheel Issue
Rich,
What kind of mouse were you using previous and was it working correctly? I
assume the only thing that changed was swapping out the mousies (mice).
I just "upgraded" to a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 and am having
trouble with the scroll wheel in PowerSDR 1.16.1. I can get the frequency to
change only if I turn the wheel fast, but even then the frequency only changes
very slowly - about 1 increment per full wheel rotation. If I sc
Reinstalling .NET 1.1 did it. Thanks to all.

I'm running XP.
I'm confused about .NET. I have 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 all installed on my
system. Do I need all of these? Which one needs the reinstall?

Thanks, Tim. I tried your suggestion, but still have the same error. I
think it may be a run-time environment issue.

Something seems to have changed in my system software environment, and I can't
get PowerSDR 1.10.3 or 1.10.4 or any other version to start. I get the

The focus issue I noticed with the N1MM logger is that if I click on the
PowerSDR program and start using the mousewheel to tune, within about two
seconds the focus shifts back to the N1MM logger and PowerSDR no longer
responds to the mousewheel. You have to click again to put the focus back

I believe there are significant misconceptions here that should be addressed
by someone closer to the Flex Radio product than myself. As I understand
it, there is no need for a "roofing filter" in the SDR-5000 because of its
direct conversion architecture - the same thing that makes my K2 so go
Lyle, you make an excellent point. But, you also make my point. When the
ARRL wants to review a QRP rig, they go to a QRP expert. They should do the
same thing when it comes to SDR - go to an SDR expert, or at the very least
someone who has some SDR experience. (I think the QRP aspect of the
Have you seen the review in the September QST of the Hendricks QRP FireFly SDR

Jerry,
I had success this weekend getting the SDR-1000 to work with Writelog all on
the same computer. Writelog spoke to the SDR-1000 using the VCom virtual
com port connections to both control the radio and send CW over the com
ports. The trick was to use different com ports for the CAT cont
Thanks, Chas.
Once I disabled the PTT control in the CAT menu, it freed up the com port
for selection in the DSP/keyer menu. Now it works great.

I've been trying to interface the SDR-1000 with the Writelog program. I've had
some pretty good success using CAT though the virtual comm program to control
the radio and send frequency info to the Writelog program, and VAC to supply
audio to the Writelog program for decoding. CW keying from t
I had the same problem, but I know the cure. I would guess that you are
trying to install the program from the view of the ZIP folder in windows.
That is not the same as extracting the files from the .ZIP file, and using
the extracted files for the install. The installer has a bug, and running

I'm new to the SDR-1000 and have a question about spurs. I've read the
reflector, and understand that right now, spur reduction has more to do with
moving the spurs out of the filter passband as opposed to eliminating them.
However, on the quiet upper bands with very low noise floor, I see ser
