RAID 1 support is very cheap nowadays, you just use two identical disks
instead of a single disk. Of course I've never had a disk in a RAID system
die (paging Mr. Murphy).

FWIW I am using my Delta 44 with a new digital modes program, I will have to
test it with the Delta 44 at 96 kHz sampling.

GetDefaultCommConfig() - if this returns nonzero then the port exists. COM1
to COM255 are valid. This is the only method of COM port detection which
really (really) works.
Fairy Nuff, but you'll miss ports which are 'accidentally in use. Myself I
prefer to tell the user that the port is in use (I get an Access error).
That way the user can unplug the offending device.

While wiring things up last week I cam to the conclusion that a 3.5 mm
stereo connector on the back is not longer appropriate if the Delta 44 with
the 1/4 plugs is the preferred sound card. Sadly FlexRadio can't see into
