Seems the new 6000 looks more like the 5000C. I always hated the boxy look
of the 5000.

They did not have an answer or even a guess. I can run ok on 40 when I
reduce the power to about 500w. Other bands seem not affected.

Mike, where was your SAGE Sector located in 1979 ? Was it in Canada. I
left SAGE in 1964 after being an IBM FE at Phoenix and Fort Lee. I would think
a SAGE system with 55,000 vacuum tubes could handle Flex ! HI !

I made tracks for the Flex Booth as soon as I got there. Nice looking
display of the 3 Flex models. (Not the C) and the Amromhof computer. Thanks for
coming Tim.

I would have never believed that ham radio would move me from a Knight
Ocean Hopper to SDR. All in only 55 years. And, with getting my ticket in 1961,
I can transmit too.
I am going to RARS HF in Raleigh for sure. Tnx for the reminder Tim.

Has anyone used the Neal Campbell computer yet ? Seems like this one is
tailored for the FLEX line no matter which Flex you buy.

I am a little surprised that there are not more reviews of the Flex 5000
radios. Also, no reviews at all of the Flex 5000 C radio.

I looked inside the 5000A at the Huntsville Hamfest. You could put a 6-pack
in there and have room for clean socks.
