6M season is gone, now it's time to prepare for the 160 m . season
which will start about the end of Sept. for us in the south. My
question is will the 2.4Khz spur be fixed in the Flex 5000a by that time ?

Definitely not. In the example below, a -58 dB spur (like
you measured) from my -32 dBm TX signal would be -90 dBm...which
would be competing with very strong EU signals like DF2PY...37 dB
ABOVE the noise floor.
Hmmm. I wonder if I could ask my local AM broadcast
station to reduce their second harmonic that is strong
where I want to listen. :)
The FlexRadio panadapter sure lets you see a lot.
Like a high-power ham station with opposite sideband
only 30 or 40 dB down. I'm tempted to let the guy

Thanks for the clarification .. I did see the spur on the ARRL review

Dear FlexRadio customers:
It has been reported that there is a transmit spur on the FLEX-5000 in CW
that is 2.4 kHz from the carrier frequency. I can confirm that there is a
spur in the -65 to -70 dBc range on the FLEX-5000 at the 2.4 kHz offset.
The FLEX-3000 has a slightly different

Well, it depends. If the spur is just 2.4 kHz from the carrier, and
depending on its energy level relative to the unmodulated carrier
level, and whether or not it is a discrete tone, or gets modulated as
the main signal does, e.g., SSB mode, it might possibly slip through
regulatory cracks

Good troubleshooting.. I would try a different
this? My
FA-66 is new. Could it possibly be bad? I also have a Delta 44 card and
the radio works fine with that card.
Thanks
