We had a few postings recently as how the CAT "just plain stops working"
on Mix W.
Well, since switching from preview 7 to preview 12, it seems to have
gotten worse. Worse to the point its screwing up the logging as it is
now more often not working (and, hence, records the frequency wrong)
than it is right. I didn't really have to watch this so closely before.
(It was always possible, it's just that until now it mostly worked).
Maybe that's a clue for someone, especially perhaps comparing the
lifetime of this on preview 7 versus 12.
