Hello, after changing my SDR version to the latest, I've noticed that my
Automatic Notch Filter is just
stuttering rather than notching on my Flex 5000.

I have noticed this same effect in previous releases but it is
significantly worse in the latest.

What is your sampling rate and DSP buffer sizes? If you are using a high
sampling rate and large DSP buffer, try a lower sampling rate and/or smaller RX
DSP buffer size and see if it makes a difference.

I am having a problem where using ANF when MulitRX is active causes a
motorboating effect.
Anyone else seen this? New bug or known problem or design limitation or ???
Please advise

There is nothing wrong with the Flex DSP just the default settings,
I have expermented a lot with the below settings and have found this
combination that work quite well and work as
1.18.5 it worked perfectly, silencing the CW carriers of rude ops who tuned

Latest ver 2.0.22, when I click on ANF I do not hear any difference. Am I

I'd try it a bit more before coming to any conclusions. For me, it works
better with this release than any heretofore. I'm extremely happy with it.
That being said, no notch filter works every time. Usually, my 5000 will
notch out the offenders without difficulty but occasionally not. But,
I have to agree with you Jerry...I see a similar affect on my 3000.
Depending on band conditions and local noise levels, I also have pulsing or
a pumping effect with the NR as well. I wish these 2 functions had a manual
slider so I could set the amount of ANF and NR as needed.

Good suggestion. Have you added it to the enhancement data base for future

I installed 2.0.19 RC1 and am using it with my 5000A. On 20m phone, ANF
works very well. It knocks carriers from people tuning up down to
inaudibility.
On 15 meters, however, ANF barely makes a difference. I'd say it only knocks
carriers down by about 20 dB.
Has anyone else seen this? Why should
I am running Taps 110 Delay 100 Gain 35 and it gets rid of most of the
tunerupers unless they are right on or near the dial frequency on
LSB 75 and 40 meters.

It is a good carrier and the behavior of the controls is now what it

sense to have these enabled for block LMS.

The ANF seems to have stopped working after Preview 12. I just noticed it
in P15 this morning and went back a couple of revs. It works fine in P12
but is not functional in P14 or P15 (I never installed P13 so I couldn't try
it there). My imagination or real?

Never mind, it works when you turn the leveler (still in development) off.
