This is already in the queue (US223) to be fixed prior to official release.
Since you are running a FLEX-3000 and want maximum CW performance, you
should go back to the current official release 1.18.6. We plan to do a full
software iteration focused on CW before final release. This incl

Hunter, a friend of mine, W5QI, is a Flex-3000 newbie. He also was
concerned with the CW problems using v2.0.8. He solved the problem by
plugging an old MFJ CW keyer into his Flex. Says it will work fine until
Flex fixes the problem.
He's tickled pink over his 3000.
