The reworked ALC is awesome and totally transparant. It's the first time in
the history of rice boxes that an alc has actually worked without massive
distortion! Also, the peak power distortion on the 1 watt predriver is cleaned
up.

Shouldn't peak power for AM be exactly the same as SSB?In other words, if I cannot transmit more than 125 watts, peak, with SSB (to prevent amplifier distortion), then I'd think that I shouldn't be able to transmit more than 125 watts, peak, with AM (andthe AM carrier power should be 1/4 of

Glad to hear that the new ALC is to your liking. The peak power meter
is still not right as far as I can tell. AM peak should not be 200W,
unless I am missing something.
The Leveler is used basically to apply a very slow AGC to the microphone
in order to keep the volume from dropping
