On the other hand if Flex remains at the niche marketing level and
profits...maybe the far east won't be interested since they HAVE to have
the volume to price like they do. Also, the modern tech support
techniques clearly will fall flat on their backsides if they tried to
sell a Flex syst

I think you're right about the quality of software coming out of the Far East
manufacturers, you only have to look at/use some of the latest
offerings/accessories which come at extortionate prices...but isn't it true
that PWRSDR is freeand if the Far East wanted to they could just
