card is sharing an IRQ with a Sata controller used for your main
drive, you are likely to see some impact. System restore just seems to
never be able to work when I need it so I use Acronis True Image home
with it saving a backup

Currently you will have to purchase the Eltima virtual com port
software. Virtual Audio Cables work fine.

How much memory does it have? If its less than 6GB I would reformat
and install XP. At 6GB, I probably would do the same. If its greater
than 6gb, I would probably dual boot, and use the XP part until all of
the other ham software becomes 64bit compatible.

Its not that we cannot test the program, I have. When you start up
Vista, you press F8 at boot time to go to the boot menu and select
the option that says to ignore unsigned drivers. This allows you to
boot up Vista x64 with the Flex driver. On my machine, you can use
PowerSDR for a random amount
Ignacio, according to a phone call I had yesterday with Flex they told me that
Power SDR will work fine with Vista 64 bit. It's just the Firewire Drivers
that is the problem. And that's because it is an unsigned driver. Mark KB3Z

I foresee another problem with Vista 64, probably masked because nobody
is able to test the program due to the lack of drivers.
As far as I know Microsoft doesn't include support for Access (Jet) type
databases, and they will be never supported.
Surely this affects PowerSDR, isn't is?

firewire interface for them and they are not going to get it signed
until early next year so we just will have to wait u

toshiba laptop that runs Vista 64 bit that the Firewire Driver that the Flex
5000a uses will not work. I am told that because it is a unsigned driver that
Vista 64 bit won't load it. Also, there may not be a compatib

Its not really their problem, as I understand it, its the manufacturer
of the 1394 chip they use. I believe Flex is working with them to get
it done. Its similar to the hundreds of devices that embed FTDI
usb->rs232 chips in their products. Most companies use the FDTI
drivers to talk to the chip so

I have been attempting to use PowerSDR and HRD on a Vista machine with the
same results as below. I like to use HRD for remote operation since the
bandwidth requirements are so low. I did try UltraVNC (on Vista to XP
machine) and found that it did not have mouse control with PowerSDR but
strangely
1010 on their fingers,
and those who count to 11.
