Have you somehow set your IF Offset in the setup panel to something near zero?
There is sometimes a DC offset that dies after transitions. The slow decay is
caused by the large capacitor in the AC coupling. It is gone after a couple of
seconds and is not audible or even impacting unless you
I get it for a fraction of a second on 20m only, when using my Flex 3000.
Think it might be my headphones and slight RF in the shack...
For now my band of choice is 15m so I'm not so worried ;)

i have noticed when i stop transmitting or tuning on 40 and 80 meters
that there is a squeal that dies away over the course of a couple of
seconds.
