We use the FireBox at 48 and 96kHz in our application, so I probably
can't help you with changing to a native 8kHz sample rate. However, you
should be able to resample fairly easily from 48 down to 8kHz. We
actually have resampling code in our application which is GPL. Feel

the choice of the sampling rates supported by an ASIO driver is dictated
solely by the intentions of the card
manufacturer, who is the responsible for writing such a driver. As an example,
the Delta 44 shipped with an ASIO driver
that refused to go below (if memory serves) 32 kHz as
