exactly
400Hz and I can't get anyone on the phone at Flex technical support. Not
busy, just not answering. Don't you just hate it when that happens? I left a
message
I have re-installed the firmware and tried

If I understand correctly, you would like to see all the changes.
If you svn/update, there is a button to 'show log'
That should open another screen with a 'show all' button which will list
the changes for each svn number.
note: some svn numbers do not pertain exactly to your radio but may be
Hi Eric,
It seems like SVN 1747 accomplished a fairly large number of changes, yet
in TortiseSVN, there is no associated log message. Does that occur
because I have SVN 1747 installed? Is there another way to find the
changes made by 1747?
Thanks in advance for any info.

I would add that any changes to the repository increment the revision. So
even if we just add or modify the documentation, the number jumps up.
Because these files are kept in a folder other than the binaries, you may
not download any files (and PowerSDR will still show the older version as it
Bill,
I have several sets, last one was from Sennheiser, all but one are
in the 800 mhz range, but all will just plug into the phones jack of
any radio. Sure nice when you are working in the garage or somewhere
else, but be aware that the range is never what they say it is
suppose to be.

Exact same symptoms happening here. Happended on on CW a few times before,
but this morning happened on digital mode, JT-65A on return to receive. A
very strange receive state. Only way get back is to exit PowerSDR and
reboot the Flex 5000A. I'm hoping this is a firmware issue too, which is

Thanks to Bill Winkis for supplying the datasheet information on the
audio
amp chip used in the Flex 5000. The mystery is, I believe, cleared up as to
why some headphones will work while others will not. The Sony headphones
have a DC resistance of 10 ohms or so, low DC resistance. The

Duffy,
Have you tried starting with a fresh database? I'd suggest that you try
firmware 0.1.1.4, and rename your current database to something else so
that PowerSDR doesn't see it and creates a new one.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the datasheet. Per my reading of it, I think you may have hit
the nail on the head: if *both* headphone outputs are driven with the same
signal into, say, 8 ohm headphones, the 500mA peak current rating of the
common pin will be exceeded when the output voltages (if in phase)
What National chip is used? I'd like to check out its datasheet. And how
is it wired to the headphone jack? It sounds as though the Flex design
connects the headphone shield to a pin on this IC, rather than to chassis
ground, correct?
Thanks!

It never happened before I installed the new firmware. Then it

Guys,
Is this something new with v0.1.1.4 or did this happen before too? If it is
new, does going back to an older revision of firmware help? All of the
older revisions are available on our download page at www.flex-radio.com.

Robin, The ATU is noisy but it is normal. It is a very sophisticated
circuit designed to match wide ranging loads. AS for the match indicator
in the ATU panel-it's simply no reading properly. This is a software glitch,
which Eric is looking into. Use the SWR meter indication not the ATU panel
Not sure if I can agree with you.
I stopped upgrading as I found a stable version. Most newer versions are
buggier for the SDR1000.

John ya kinda lost me on that one. How does an internal ATU help a
external linear to tune a match to the antenna.
On the other subject I have had a LDG 1KW tuner for a long time. For the
first couple yrs when it was told to tune it rattled and rattled many
times to try and tune. A couple yrs ago
v1.10.1 is stable here for the SDR1000.
