I also have the CM-500 headset. Mine came with a small plastic box that holds two AAA batteries, and is used to supply the needed bias voltage. Plug the gray plug from the microphone into the box, and plug the output of the box into your radio. I think you could probably plug it into the

I have set the temp at 70C and the fans keep going at a slow (yet noisy) speed during RX. I really would prefer the fans stop during RX...since I find the fans increase ambient noise levels in my quiet shack too much. I estimate the power dissipation on RX less than 15 watts, so this is not
