Hi ZL1PWD and all,
I also tried this soundcard - before Eric W - and found a similar pair of
problems. Receive audio balance wasn't bad on my sample, but the lack of
switching for transmit was a no-no.
I also have an Acer 1700 with 1G RAM - but use a Presonus Firebox and VAC for
digital modes.
I recommend extra ferrites on the power cable if you use the AC power supply
for the 1700, single point earthing for all units, good quality firewire cable
and physical separation of PAs to reduce risk of RFI problems.
