Thanks to a kind donation by an anonymous friend of the flightgear project we have just been able to upgrade our main ftp server from an old P200 w/64Mb RAM to an AMD Athlon 900 Mhz with 256Mb RAM. It's not exactly a new new machine, but it's a big step up, especially since the old machine was

Not really, FG_GLUT_H is defined by configure to get glut.h from the proper place. This file can be found in GL/glut.h in some platforms an in GLUT/glut.h on others (if I recall it correctly). So I guess you should make sure you have at least a fairly recent copy of configure.ac and run
