I just tried with the Windows 0.9.4 version and the CVS one and both work
for me. The heading is
set as well as the pitch. With the 0.9.4 version, if you use fgrun, add

 /sim/view/config/heading-offset-deg=45
 /sim/view/config/pitch-offset-deg=3

in the 'properties' page of the Advanced section
