Hi Norman,
Yes, the intent has always been to release simgear under the terms of the
LGPL. This is a good reminder of that. I'm on a short trip out of town and
typing this from a very tiny keyboard, but this something we definitely need
to clarify and bring into consistency.

While I was in the process of perusing the SimGear code I noticed
that some of the newer code was being released under the GPL
As part of the original SimGear team I was under the impression
that SimGear was specifically LGPL as expressed here
