Re: [Flightgear-devel] Rain/ Snow/ Visibility and Rwy-lighting
Hi, As discuss on IRC, I haven't this problem... and I don't understand why it can happen. Heavy showers of snow, visibility about 500m - great fun! Great work and thanks for the Rain patch! But there was something I missed- the runway lighting! Ususally with a certain value of visibility the rwy lighting is set on- but not with precipation. Can we add this to the To-Do-list of the rain-patches? Another kind of bug maybe is around 59*15 14.6N 10*33 07.1E, the scenery look very rectangular here but the areas seem to have a few islands in them. Still it looks quite weird and not correct as far as I can see In general, the whole Swedish scenery (or at least the parts I looked at, which is following a track from ESSA - ESOE - ESGG and then following the coast north of ESGG a bit) look crap in 1.0 scenery. [Flightgear-devel] Ship 3d models
I was just perusing our model inventory a bit, and was curious if we have a 3d model of an ocean ship approximately 70m long? And I don't want to ask for favors here or burn anyone's time, but if anyone out there was super bored and wanted to throw together a quick approximate 3d model of the Oscar Sette, I could put it to use over then next 2 weeks. :-) Here is the Oscar Sette web site ... currrently on a 16 day ocean debris location and recovery mission. http://www.moc.noaa.gov/os/index.html Best regards, Curt. -- Curtis Olson: http://baron.flightgear.org/~curt/ - Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace. Re: [Flightgear-devel] Ship 3d models
I did a little quick research on the Oscar Sette. It was originally the USNS Adventurous (T-AGOS-13), a Stalwart class Modified Tactical Auxiliary General Ocean Surveillance Ship of the United States Navy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalwart_class_tactical_auxiliary_general_ocean_surveillance_ships There is a (not-free) model of T-AGOS-12 here http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-ocean-surveillance-ships/367866 I was unable to find any top view drawings or deck plans.
