Thanks - that worked (well, it returns the correct details when you run 
cmake with that option, I've yet to test the resulting binary). It's not 
mentioned anywhere in ccmake though.

OK, just tried that (after a make clean first just to be sure), it still 
installs to /usr/lib (and neither ccmake nor cmake -LH make any mention 
of that option).

That's in "LIB_POSTFIX". Try:

  # ~> cmake -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -D LIB_POSTFIX=64 [...]

[Flightgear-devel] cmake

I've converted my build script over to cmake (I'll be updating my 
jenkins server once a few niggles have been ironed out) - these are:

Simgear:

Simgear doesn't seem to install to the correct directory on 64 bit 
systems any more - there doesn't seem to be any way to tell it to use 
/usr/lib64 instead of /usr/lib

FlightGear:

Have we changed the default data directory again? cmake outputs this:
-- Using default data-dir:  /usr/lib/FlightGear
There doesn't appear to be any way to set it within ccmake or from te 
commandline.

There's doesn't seem to be any way to enable the jpg-httpd server. 
(Under autoconf it was enabled by default if Simgear was built with jpeg 
factory support).

"make install" no longer installs the manpages.

Just a idle thought... lots of aircraft could benefit
from having such PFD/MFD displays... maybe as a
sort of hand held device you carry on board,
without all the modes/autopilot features, since
we do need to keep the 'realism' of only what
exists in each aircraft at manufacture...

Sort of like a 'super' hand-held GPS device... or
maybe we have that already???

Have downloaded your TSR2.zip - quite a slow
download, but no problem - and thank you.

I assume I unzip this into a new folder -
/Aircraft/TSR2
and looking forward to trying this also as
soon as time allows...

This is quite mysterious, since it seems like no simgear libraries are getting 
included, when linking fgjs. Can you zip up your 'cleaned' build dir and make 
it available somewhere (for fgfs, should be just the CmakeFiles/ Makefiles), 
then I can take a look.

Anyone else on Ubuntu 10 seen anything similar? I haven't here.

to ML, but no response. And I continuue build with ./configure.
But from now, it impossible...

So, SG compiles with ccmake like a charm, but FG show error:

Strange thing is that the Nvidia setting dialog semmed to indicate
that all was OK. And no boot problems, Funny.

Hi Alasdair,

There very first thing I do when I see any X11 or OpenGL related errors
that are new to my system is re-install the nvidia drivers.  I usually
install updates whenever they come out so there's a good chance (for me)
that one of those updates will overwrite something in the X11 or OpenGL
libraries once or twice a month.  Usually in manifests itself by not being
able to start up X11 on the next boot, but any odd thing could potentially
happen depending on the order of your updates.

Current serial: 57
  ResourceID: 75497475
Error: In Texture::Extensions::setupGLExtensions(..) OpenGL version test
failed, requires valid graphics context.
Scaling image '/opt/FlightGear/fgdata/Aircraft/c172p/splash.png' from
(512,512) to (67,67)
Segmentation fault"

I had no problems with the automake version pulled a couple of days ago.
I have seen references to something similar in the forum but nothing to
help.
I am running Debian Wheezy on a 64 bit machine with GeForce GTX 460
using nvidia propietary driver 285.05.09.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

That's stock Debian 6 alias Squeeze, the current stable, GCC-4.4.5 and
Glibc-2.11.2, if it matters,

I just tested this as well (without your fix) and it works here too. Even 
when using Martin's pathnames.

Generally I trust your expertise, anyhow I still get the same 'defect'
with a fresh clone of simgear/next and terragear-cs/cmake-integration
I'm at risk of running out of time this week, therefore, unfortunately,
except from a few quick tests I'm unable to dedicate much effort to
digging into this.

With some local changes to Simgear/next, but I am 'fairly sure' they don't 
relate to path/file/string handling. (Some changes in the SGOceanTile

As far as my (still limited) understanding goes, gitorious needs to know the 
public SSH key of the machine you're uploading from.  Just login at gitorious, 
go to dashboard, and click Manage SSH keys.

Why did you go through all the hassle of creating an isolated workspace
instead of cloning the repo directly at Gitorious ?

and pulled that ~3.5GB. Now I've added the aircrafts but push gives:

[Flightgear-devel] Contest, best FG addition 2011

Hi all

I see so many good and nice additions for FlightGear, why not follow 
former "polls" I’ve seen here and organize a small award in december, 
somthing like "best add-on development" for FlightGear ?

Possibility to give two awards, one from a public i.e. as a vote in the 
forum and another as "developers selection" (from a jury of 5-6 core 
developers).

I will donate some bucks or whatever, and start to collect for such an 
"award".

Just an another idea ...
