Thorsten suggested [1] separating foilage and trunk; is this what you
have in mind?
At the moment I'm simply using 4 separate complete textures ; one for
each combination of summer/winter and clear/snow-covered.
So I 'just' need straight pictures from summer and winter. Snow-covered
I have a question to aircraft/cockpit modellers: Would a shader effect with the
equivalent of a grain texture be useful to you?
For the terrain, the grain texture is a semi-transparent overlay pattern of
grainy dots - which is superimposed on the normal texture at 25 times the
nominal
I liked Alex's screenshot, that requires some skill...
Actually, since I am using modified skids[1] for the bo105, it doesn't
require much skill.
To be able to land on smaller surfaces as the length of the skids, I've
added some more contact points between the original ones[2]. Which also
makes
I'd say no , its easy enough to do without yet another shader, since each
new shader 'improvement has me tweaking my aircraft
to get back the frame rates I lost. But thanks for offering.

Hi Thorsten,
I would follow the same opinion as Syd. I think Gimp/Inskape/Photoshop... are
enough powerful to create correct texture.
Of course it requires some time of work... But isn't it expected to spend some
of our time in order to have a beautiful aircraft ? :)
Thanks you for proposing !
Hi James,
Did a git pull SG/FG/fgdata a few hours ago,
and a Release re-build in Windows 7... and took the
default c172p for spin...
I had been reading about your changes, but I
was in for some surprises ;=)) And I understand
it is a WIP...

Yes, it was not working before (~2.6) either - there's no hotspot.

Hi All,
Having talked about it for months (years?) I've finally written some
property rules that improve the integration of Basic Weather with the
Atmospheric shader.
In particular the skydome properties are now calculated using formulae
very similar to those of Advanced Weather so there's no
Hello!
I've been flying with the c172 in FG for years, it being my preffered aircraft
for almost 90% of my time in the sim.
One thing i noted while flying at night is that the instrument lighting with
Rembrandt activated is white, instead of the red it should be.
The colour with Rembrandt=off
Hello!
I was wondering if there is a future plan in uniting these two amazing
attributes of FG...
I suspect the programming challenges must be more than easy, yet I assume we
would all like to have these features together, without having to quit and edit
config files for choosing one of them

Feedback welcome as always, though I suspect almost everyone these
days is using Advanced Weather...
No ,Advanced weather forced 3d clouds on me even when i disable 3d clouds
so i don't use it.
Of course i could be doing something wrong , but Im not quite convinced yet
to get a new computer.
