-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 As I mentioned before on this list ([Flightgear-devel] Custom protocol issues), I requested support for UDP from nasal, however I got no response at all, so now I raise the issue again, basically I need to send messages to a daemon from nasal, custom protocols does not fit this: * I need to send at changing rate, from 50 or so / second to just one / 10 seconds. * The protocol is message based, I send instructions, I don't dump data. * I tried using custom protocols but when I sent enough properties to be able to send all needed commands as fast as needed I got horrible stutter. * Sending less I can't always send all I need.
So I request support for sending UDP data from nasal code. This would be under controlled circumstances to prevent security issues: For example a command line switch saying what target port and ip nasal could use.
