Hi, I'm developing a (windows based) flight-planner app that will display the navaids for the selected destination. I want to be able to give the option of writing these navaids (with an internally set mapping) to the com1, com2, nav1,nav2 & adf areas of FG (FGv098a and above). I have some experience with using UDP over a network for a simple local chat app. Having watched a number of the recent posts I am beginning to feel there will be a way (UDP-port) that I can write to in a given format that will set the properties in an aircraft sitting on the end of the runway or at startup point externally.

If this is do-able, then;

What port number for write ?
What port number for read? (I prefer confirming protocols)
What format to access each property? (or others, ie a generic addressing format)

I am running FGv098a on a separate PC(P4-1.8G,128M RAM, 32M Geforce video) running Win Me I am running Atlas/Flight-Planner on another PC(P1-166M,96M RAM, S3 Trio Video) running Win 98SE

Cheers
=Dene
