Ok, it was my mistake, sorry for false alarm.
The problem was that OSG was build without Freetype support (headers
weren't installed) - this caused the message about not found font though
the real problem was that freetype plugin was missing. And default font
whatever it was didn't have Unicode g
Either way, that error message is wrong.

The docs say that FG supports Unicode. However I tried to use degree sign
in the tooltip (inserted it literally to XML in UTF-8) and load some SVG to
canvas with UTF-8 text - in both cases Unicode text simply isn't shown,
thought everything else is OK. BTW when starting FG I get the messa
