The point I think you are trying to make is that the validator still
has squawks. The proposed fix *does* make IE6 happy and linux/firefox
still works.

No. The point was that the validator complains about the missing type,
which is apparently a *BUG*. So the most obvious thing to do would have
been to fix the bug in the html page and then try again. Of course, if
there's a bug in IE6, too, ... (who would have thought?! :-)

Well given infinite time you are of course right, but given that I'm
struggling with a dead machine at the moment, I don't have infinite time
(and my patience is all but used up) so a quick solution is what we get
for now. I'm happy to take web page patches in the future ... but I
can't deal with them right now.

Regards,
Curt.

Well then it should be:

script type=text/javascript src=templates.js/script

Not really, the validator is ignoring a meta tag in the header which has
been around since 1997 that describes that *every* script in the page
should be treated as text/javascript.

Actually not. Curtis forgot to add the following line to the header
section of the page:

meta http-equiv=Content-Script-Type Content=text/javascript

OK. At the very same day that fgfs (the simulator) becomes bugfree,
I'll start to send patches for the website. Priorities ... :-P
