In France we celebrate it last year It took a long time, to get freedom for you It was, back then the rumor of the allied forces liberating France filled the people with joy. Only to discover it took a very harsh winter with not enough food for everybody before the reached The Netherlands. In fact, the most casualties where in these few months of th winter of 1944. We can thank these old veterans I just did, every time a vehicle transporting one or more veterans they crowd started applauding. They sure seemed to enjoy their visit over her :-) Happy day Thanks, it was. Not only for me as I already pointed out. I hope this chapter of German history serves for a long time as a reminder at where nations could get if they don't scrutinise the intentions of their political leaders.
