Re: [Flightgear-devel] Building FlightGear for x64 (Windows)

2010-11-07 Thread Frederic Bouvier
The artifacts of the fgrun build are fgrun.exe and the locale
 directory

It looks like there are also some dependencies missing. FlightGear-next-Win64
and FGRun-Win32 are not rebuilt when simgear is updated.

Yes, good catch Fred. This was because Gene/I tend to leave out the automatic
build dependencies, until a particular job and its dependencies are stable -
otherwise we spam #builds on IRC, and Gene and I's inboxes, with 'build failure
emails :)

All these builds are now stable, so I've added the dependency rules - let me
know if you see any others that are missing.

Fred, I've got it emitting the build artifacts, but only the _contents_ of

Yes, I want to, for the nightlies, but I'm not clear what additional checkouts
and steps will need to be added to make that happen - I know FLTK is already in
the 3rd-parties zip you provide, that we use.

fgrun depends on the 3rdparty libraries, gettext and simgear. SVN
Repository is at

|fgrun.sln is in msvc/9.0

Try the command :
msbuild FlightGear.sln /p:Configuration=Release /p:Platform=x64

(without the /m switch)

Thanks Fred, that did the trick.

The x64 build is now available from the build server and I changed what it
made available to include all the .exe files. I updated the win32 build
to include all the .exes as well.
