I've uploaded a thumbnail for the c182rg here:

http://www.nanjika.co.uk/flightgear/thumbnail.jpg

Could someone please commit it to CVS?

Thanks

I'll try to get thumbnails for the SU-37 & TU-114 to you.

The B-29 author was Josh Babcock but I think he's no longer working
on FG, at least until he finishes his studies. I'm not sure of the
fdm status for the B-29 either - I seem to recall he was having
problems with a YASim config for it but I don't know if he got the
JSBSim fdm working.

In case of the F-15 you would be trading a nice model with an F-16
flightmodel for a more accurate F-15 fdm...

I agree, aircrafts without 3D models should not be included (apart from
psedo-aircrafts like ATC and MIBS that aren't meant to have 3D models).

Re: [Flightgear-devel] Aircraft downloads page update

2007-12-18 Thread Fabian Grodek
The download page contains other aircrafts with no 3D models:
1. F-15 (NOT F-15C)
2. Marchetti
3. X-24B
4. Shuttle
Their FDM are present.
I particularly like to have the FDM of these aircraft available, but, at
least for the JSBSim models (X24B and Shuttle), they can be (and indeed
are) are available from JSBSim CVS, which is a natural place to look for
them.
This would probably be a new discussion: whether to include or not aircraft
without 3D models in the aircraft download page. I vote for NO.

Ah, I see that's already done. :-)

BTW:

I've made it "early production", the reason being: no instruments, no
systems, no engines, no texturing. This is all on my TODO list. I'm
just slow. TODO looks something like this (not necessarily in this
order, but approximately):

 - finish tail rotor (animation of swashplate and levers maybe later)
 - finish fuselage (antennae, some other details)
 - UV map & create texture template
 - collective lever
 - panel/instruments
 - systems

Time estimation: 10 years :-)

I've moved them to the Attic/ in CVS, but I assume they need to be
removed manually from the download page.

Once someone comes along and is willing to do a bell206 or as350 with
proper FDM config and 3D model, we can resurrect the files (they are
still in CVS!), but in that case it'll probably be easier to start from
scratch, anyway.

Hi Curt,

could you please delete the as350 and the bell206 from the download
page? Both have no 3D-model and a very poor FDM.

The hornet and the fk9mk2 are done by Emmanuel Baranger (3D) and me (FDM).
